NPO Scholarship for Students in Nurse Practitioner Education Programs
For years it has been a goal of Nurse Practitioners of Oregon to use some of our funds to support the education of our colleagues whether they be RNs seeking to become an NP or an NP who is furthering his/her education. We are very pleased to announce scholarships for the amount of $5000.
A very special thank you is extended to Larlene Dunsmuir, FNP who has been very persistent in pushing this concept at the business meetings for the last 5+ years. When the vote was taken at our last meeting to approve the scholarship and the process for awarding it, there were tears of joy in her eyes!
This is another very tangible way that ONA/NPO membership supports the nurse practitioners in Oregon and promotes professional growth of the NP community. If you know of colleagues that are members of our organization and going back to further their education, encourage them to apply for these funds!
The application deadline for the 2010 Scholarships was May 1, 2010.
