Hepatitis Web Study - www.hepwebstudy.org. The site was designed for health care workers who provide clinical care to persons with viral hepatitis, and is a companion site to the HIV Web Study – www.hivwebstudy.org. Funded by a federal grant from the Division of Viral Hepatitis in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, this site features:

  • Fourteen interactive, clinically-relevant case studies, each with a discussion, high quality illustrations and graphics, and links, that highlight and illustrate key recommendations from national guidelines;
  • Free continuing education credits, including an easy way to print CME/CNE documentation and an electronic CE tracker;
  • Numerous high quality figures that the user can easily download into Power Point slides;
  • Reference linked to Pub Med abstracts, Federal Guidelines sites, and/or CDC MMWR documents;

New Pain Management CE Requirement Tied to Healthcare Provider License Renewals

SB 885, passed in 2001 Oregon Legislative session, mandated a new painmanagement CE requirement tied to healthcare provider license renewals. All nurses, including NP's, must complete seven hours of CE related to pain management to renew their license. Look here for information.
