Chair

Larlene Dunsmuir
DNP, FNP, ANP-BC

As a professional NP, I value the role that NPO has played throughout my career, in advocating for our profession and the patients we serve. It has been an honor to serve in a variety of roles with other NP leaders in the state and I look forward to further experience and opportunity with this wonderful organization.

We are fortunate to practice in a state with Full Practice Authority, Prescriptive Authority, and Payment Parity (what I call 'The Triple Crown') but I don't take for granted that our broad scope is a guarantee. We need strong leadership within NPO to make sure that we continue to practice at the top of our scope and without arbitrary barriers for our patients.

While I am a new member to NPO, I am excited to get involved. When I lived in Arkansas I was an active member of Arkansas Nurse
Practitioenrs Association and a student member in North Texas NPs and Texas NPs. Now that things have slowed down a bit with the pandemic, I want to jump in to NPO with both feet!
