Getting to Know Our NPO Members

Who are you?

Kelly Witbeck, FNP

Where did you study?

I obtained my BSN from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. I attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham for my MSN-FNP and am currently attending Washington State University for my post master's DNP-PHMHNP certification.

Where do you practice and what’s your specialty?

In September 2017, I started with Providence St. Joseph at Express Care where we specialize in convenient same day care for common illnesses and injuries. Prior to that I worked with an integrated primary care and in-home primary care.

I specialize in family practice. Upon graduation in May 2020, I hope to practice in a setting where I can integrate both specialties.

How long have you been a member of NPO?

I have been a member of NPO since 2017.

What is one thing you’d be willing to share that others may not know?

I grew up in North Pole, Alaska and in junior high I volunteered as one of Santa's elves to write responses back to children all over the world who wrote to Santa!

Why are you a NPO member?

I became an NPO member so I could increase my networking and learning opportunities. I also wanted to find a way to contribute to the betterment of our profession and get involved with other NPs.

Why should others join NPO?

NPs who are not currently affiliated with NPO should join so they can contribute to a larger collective voice that supports them in advancing the profession, so that we can continue to impact the lives of our patients and the communities we serve.
